Haven’t done one of these for a while, so here’s another 5 facts about the person behind this account ⬇️

🪳 I have an irrational fear of cockroaches, any other creepy Crawley I am fine with, but cockroaches -especially the ones that fly, hate them. I blame this purely on several flying at my face as a child 😂

📖 I was studying event management/public relations then psychology- before I quit uni and became a stevedore

🍀 I am a good luck charm for others winning things but not lucky myself - everyone who has ever brought a lotto ticket before me or sat next to me at the Casio, always wins something 😅

💁‍♀️ I have been single for almost 7 years and there is absolutely nothing wrong with this! I’ve valued this time alone and it’s allowed me to learn a lot about myself

🌊 I love the ocean and have heaps of respect for it, but I have a small fear of being stranded at sea. Never stopped my going out on a boat, but deep sea is something else 😳

This is itinerary is largely based around hiking/outdoor activities and not spending much time in major cities. It is quick fast paced, but can easily be modified to suit your travel style!

Hiking Roys’s Peak mini guide ⬇️ I will not

Hiking Roys’s Peak mini guide ⬇️

I will not lie, this is a tough, long hike!

The hike is all uphill, with a steady gradient that is that awkward level, which simultaneously stretches and hurts the calves.

The views the whole way are absolutely incredible though and the views at the top are 100% worth it!

A few tips ⬇️

▫️Start early morning - this is a popular hike and gets very busy from about 8am onwards
▫️The worst section is the first 45mins - it’s the worst gradient in my opinion
▫️Expect this hike to take anyways between 3-6hrs, depending on your fitness
▫️The viewpoint (first photo) isn’t the top! And you may need to wait for photos here
▫️The summit is about 30mins away from the view point, it’s a tiny platform but well worth it
▫️There are bathrooms at the start and at the viewpoint - bring your own toilet paper 🧻

Is it worth doing? Absolutely! This was also my first time seeing real snow which was a great treat 🤩

@mangorei_heights has some of the best views of Mt Taranaki - from every window in the house!

It’s only a 5min drive to the trail head for the pouakai Hut, and situated on a hill giving incredible views across farmland and out to the ocean

And that bathtub 🤩

The hosts are incredible and made for an extremely pleasant stay! Honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough!

This was one do the first major hikes I did with my time in New Zealand and was easily one of my favourites!

The hike is steep (pretty much all uphill), but takes you past streams, over swing bridges and through some gorgeous forest. At the end of the hike you will be treated with gorgeous views of the surrounding landscapes.

Recommendations ⬇️

▫️ Hike and stay at the pinnacles hut it’s $25NZD for 1 night and is by far one of the nicest huts I stayed at
▫️Give yourself 2-3hrs to get to hut, the pinnacles is about 30mins from the hut
▫️Hike to the top for sunset or sunrise - you won’t regret it!

Would you jump off a platform at 184m and free-fal

Would you jump off a platform at 184m and free-fall for 8.5 seconds ?

This was my first time bungy jumping and I mean go big or go home right? 😂

I love adrenaline activities, but this one was the one that freaked me out. Convincing yourself to jump off a perfectly good platform is a big mind game, especially cause it’s all in your hand/no help from others 😅

This was such an thrilling experience and I’m happy I was able to tick it off my bucket list!

Would I do it again? Honestly probably not hahaha. Once was enough 😂

Would I recommend people to do it? Absolutely!

Is bungy jumping on your bucket list?

New Zealand is well known for its lupins, which make for some beautiful photos. And funnily enough, they are actually weeds 😅

Where’s the best place to find them?

▫️Lake Tekpo foreshore (where these shot were taken)
▫️Lake Alexandria
▫️Road between a Lake Tekapo and Twizel
▫️Along the Twizel Canals
▫️Omarama Clay Cliffs

Best time to see them?

The flowering season is between mid-to-late November through to early January

@naivasha_cottage is my absolute favourite place I have ever stayed on my travels. Everything from the location, design, layout and hosts is absolutely perfect 😍

I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights, but could of easily stayed her for a week or longer!

Not only is there an one but two tubs ! The outdoor tub is the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by - you might even spot a Tassie devil!

While in Queenstown, I finally ticked off a bucket list experience

Skydiving at 15 000ft 🪂

I’ve done skydiving before but never at this height, or with these incredible views!

This was my favourite adrenaline activity I did in Queenstown and HIGHLY recommend it! After being cancelled twice, I got the most perfect day and couldn’t ask for better conditions 🥹

This was my first time bungy jumping and I mean go big or go home right? 😂 I love adrenaline activities, but this one was the one that freaked me out. Convincing yourself to jump off a perfectly good platform is a big mind game, especially cause it’s all in your hand/no help from others 😅 This was such an thrilling experience and I’m happy I was able to tick it off my bucket list! Would I do it again? Honestly probably not hahaha. Once was enough 😂 Would I recommend people to do it? Absolutely!
