Luxury Secluded Wanaka Escape – Tiny home!

Luxury Secluded Wanaka Escape would be absolutely perfect for a couple, weekend trip or solo travellers! I got the pleasure of staying in this tiny home for two nights while on my travels through New Zealand. This was exactly what I needed after some strenuous hikes and horrible weather.

This post isn’t sponsored, just sharing some beautiful accommodation.

Luxury Secluded Wanaka Escape

Where is it?

Luxury Secluded Wanaka Escape is located roughly a 15min drive from the city centre of Wanaka. It is not in the main town of Wanaka; it sits just outside in Luggate. The drive into town is short and there are some benefits to staying a few minutes out of town.

This accommodation is situated on a property, a little out the back of the main residence. There are two tiny homes to choose from. The benefits with staying on the outskirts is that you get to truly surround yourself with nature. The tiny homes face some mountain ranges and are surrounded by bush. You get a really peaceful experience staying here.

How much does it cost?

You have to book 2 nights minimum to stay in this accommodation. The price is $560 AUD for 2 people for 2 nights. It is a bit costly but defiantly worth it.

The Space

The tiny home is constructed from a shipping container, and although small, has enough space for 2 people. The first thing you will see at this accommodation is the massive bathtub. Sitting on the huge porch. This tub can easily fit two people and is surrounded by privacy screens. You can have a bath at any time of the day, so bath under the stars anyone?

The porch space has a small seating area.

The bedroom, kitchenette and dining room are combined. The whole tiny home is beautifully decorated, and I thought it really tied in with its surroundings. The kitchenette has a sink, kettle, toaster, fridge and cups/cutlery. The only thing I didn’t like about this space was that there wasn’t a microwave. I don’t need an oven but love to see microwaves in small spaces. A basic breakfast is included in your stay

There is a TV, which can be faced to the bed. Excellent for cosying up and watching a movie. The bed is very comfortable.

The space has reverse cycle air-conditioning. However, if it gets too hot in the tiny home, you can open up the side container doors, and put a fly screen down.

The bathroom was fresh and modern. The BEST feature of this space was the rainfall showerhead. It has to be the best shower I have had in my entire life. They also provide shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

My Review

I loved my time at Luxury Secluded Wanaka Escape and would definitely recommend staying here for a night or two! It would make the perfect accommodation for a weekend getaway. It is far enough from Wanaka to feel like you are only surrounded by nature, but close enough to access the town and its highlights. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

You can book this accommodation here, through Airbnb.
